Auditions for the plays and musicals in the Poteet Theatre Series season are always open to everyone. Even if you have never been on stage, never had a singing lesson, and wouldn't know Stage Directions from a cake recipe! Please come and join us!
Many of our productions have flexible casts, especially our large summer musicals, and our goal is to include everyone in the show or working "backstage".

Announcing auditions for the second and third show of the 2008 Poteet Theatre Season!
Neil Simon's Rumors, directed by Shawn Hicks, will run from April 11- April 27. Auditions will be Saturday, March 1 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Please bring a headshot and resume. If you do not have a headshot, bring $1 so that a Polaroid shot can be taken. Sides from the script will be available to check out at the front desk of St. Luke's starting on Wednesday, February 20. Ages 18 and up only. Rehearsals for Rumors will begin Monday, March 3rd and will generally be Monday through Friday from 7 to 10 pm.
Our summer show is Seussical the Musical directed by Jay Prock. Show dates are July 18 through August 3. Seussical auditions will be Saturday, March 1 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Please bring a 16 bar cut from a song with sheet music, no CD or tape accompaniment and no a capella. Also bring a headshot and resume. If you do not have a headshot, please bring $1 so that a Polaroid shot can be taken. All ages welcome. Please bring dance attire. You may be asked to do a simple movement combination.
If you can do acrobatics, please come prepared to demonstrate.
We are casting Seussical early so that summer plans can be made by all participants in the summer show. Rehearsals for Seussical will begin Monday, June 2 and will generally run Mon - Saturday with some Wed. nights. We will rehearse from 6:30 - 9:30 and 10 am - 1pm on Saturdays (We will not have rehearsal every Saturday.)
